NH=> 'Fancy OAM'...good heavens...CV+RDI are the absolute minimum....and we should keep the defect detection OAM as simple/sparse as possible).  Unnecessary (or 'fancy' if you prefer) OAM are things like AIS in co-ps and TCM stuff.
