Hi all,

We just submitted a revision. Major changes include:

1) three new co-authors are added;
2) add text to clarify how to avoid re-performing hash on the whole packet when re-encapsulating the packet with an IP-based tunnel header (e.g., MPLS-in-UDP tunnel);
3) divide the original Section 4 describing the forwarding procedure into 2 sub-sections: 4.1 and 4.2. Section 4.1 describes how to construct the FIB entry using encapsulation, SR-capability, prefix-attributes TLVs/sub-TLVs. The original Section 4 is now Section 4.2.

Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Best regards,
Xiaohu (on behalf of co-authors)

> Abstract:
> MPLS Segment Routing (SR-MPLS in short) is an MPLS data plane-based
> source routing paradigm in which a sender of a packet is allowed to
> partially or completely specify the route the packet takes through
> the network by imposing stacked MPLS labels to the packet. SR-MPLS
> could be leveraged to realize a unified source routing mechanism
> across MPLS, IPv4 and IPv6 data planes by using an MPLS label stack
> as a unified source routing instruction set while preserving backward
>    compatibility with SR-MPLS.
