Reading the email below I felt it important to draw the working groups attention to RFC8179 section 7 and request that people familiarize themselves with the text therein, with special emphasis on:

A. When adopting new technologies, the participants in an IETF
      working group are expected to evaluate all the relevant tradeoffs
      from their perspective.  Most of the time these considerations are
      based purely on technical excellence, but IPR considerations may
      also affect the evaluation and specific licensing terms may affect
      the participants' opinion on the desirability of adopting a
      particular technology.

As such, while the validity of IPR is out of scope, the working group views on the terms of IPR are in scope within the consensus process.

I do NOT support adopting this as a working group document.

I find that the terms of the IPR disclosure are overly restrictive and would prefer that we selected a different technology for this problem.

All the authors/contributors have stated on the MPLS WG mailing list that they are unaware of any undisclosed IPRs that relates to this document.

Since we have had some concerns about IPR, we like to remind you that the working group does not discuss the validity and applicability of an IPR, however it is assumed that all respondents to the wgap have looked at the IPR disclosures and, if they approve of the adoption, are comfortable with the IPRs as disclosed.

The working group adoption poll ends February 24, 2023.
