Folks,

As interesting as this discussion is, it's not really giving much input 
into the charter items of this WG. Insofar as this informs what kinds of 
processes and policies should go into our documents, that's fine, but 
please frame the discussion that way. If you want to have a discussion 
about the particulars of the current US (or other national) policies and 
how they affect the selection of a particular venue, you should probably 
take that to venue-selection@ietf.org.
