Folks,

As a follow up to my presentation in Orlando, our congestion control algorithm (OLIA: “Opportunistic Linked Increases Algorithm”) is now part of the Louvain MPTCP Linux.

If you want to use the OLIA, that guarantees optimal resource usage in the network and solves problem identified with the "Linked-Increases Algorithm", you have to:

1. Configure it via the kernel-option: “Networking support->Networking options->TCP: advanced congestion control” and enable “MPTCP Opportunistic linked increase”.

2. Then, after the machine booted, you choose olia-congestion control with: sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_congestion_control=olia.

To get more information about OLIA, and also the performance issues with LIA, please check our paper at Conext 2012, or our drafts:

Best regards,
Ramin.
