A reminder that we have our interim later today (3pm GMT, 4pm BST, 5pm CEST etc)

As you know the topic of the interim meeting is how to support load balancers. We've got 3 relevant items to discuss:

* a more generic proposal to separate keys & tokens, from Alan & Christoph https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/multipathtcp/4lgoBI3gfdu8bui9RYAkF279y2M (includes pointer to I-Ds)
* a proposal from Costin, which doesn't change the protocol https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/multipathtcp/r5rffL3G93a64Xj3Gb43hT2gYYE (includes pointer to paper - idea enhanced since then)
* an proposal from Olivier Bonaventure (no draft, abstract below)

We need a volunteer to take some notes please.

Please note that the audio will be recorded

Slides being added to https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/interim-2016-mptcp-1/session/mptcp/ as we get them. Also, we're trying got add material to the wiki https://tools.ietf.org/wg/mptcp/trac/wiki/Interim_June_2016 (but currently having login issues)

Thanks
Phil & Yoshi.

Absrtact from Olivier
There are many situations where Multipath TCP clients and servers cannot accept the establishment of additional subflows over the address used to create the initial subflow. For clients, this occurs typically when they are behind a NAT or firewall. For servers, this occurs typically when they are behind a load balancers. In these situations, it is beneficial for the affected host to be able to inform the other host of the restriction on the reachablity of their primary address. We propose to reserve one bit to encode this information in the MP_CAPABLE option and show how load balancers can exploit this new feature.
