I agree with this.  It seems this will be what a number of vendors may opt for in lieu of per-session selection.

<RR> The reason to have per session selection is that various clients may be able to handle different versions. I agree that the config for the default behaviour above is needed, that’s what the default-schema-set is meant to be. Anyway I’ve just replied to Rob’s email, so let’s continue discussing that point there.
