Update: using the "name" attribute with <sourcecode> does the right thing.

    <sourcecode name="ietf-foo@2016-03-20.yang">
    ...
    </sourcecode>

results in

    <CODE BEGINS> file "ietf-foo@2016-03-20.yang"
    ...
    <CODE ENDS>
