A survey on securing inter-domain routing: Part 1 by Geoff Huston

The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is the Internet’s inter-domain routing protocol. And after some thirty years of operation, it’s now one of the more venerable of the Internet’s ‘core’ protocols. One of the major ongoing concerns related to BGP is its lack of effective security measures, and as a result, the routing infrastructure of the Internet continues to be vulnerable to various forms of attack. In Part 1 of this study, I will look at the design of BGP, the threat model and the requirements from a security framework for BGP.

Abstract: The revolution of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies has changed the healthcare system by assimilating the various technological, social and economical aspects. It emits the healthcare system from conventional to the more customized system. In the current global COVID-19 pandemic circumstance IoT play a crucial function to combat corona virus infections. The early diagnose of COVID-19 is very necessary in order to prevent the disease from spreading globally. In this paper we survey the significant role of IoT-based technologies along-with some associative advanced technologies to early detect the COVID-19 infections. We review the sate-of-the art architecture and applications to combat COVID-19 infections and propose an IoT-based framework which helps to early detect and monitoring the COVID-19 infections.

Google’s Transfer Bid Rejected in Patent Case

On August 11, 2020, Jenam Tech accused Google of knowingly infringing upon their patents known as “Methods, Systems, and Computer Program Products for Sharing Information for Detecting an Idle TCP Connection” through its use of “the QUIC protocol present in various devices that Google develops and sells.” Then, on August 14, Google countered with a Motion to Transfer to the Northern District of California claiming that it was “clearly more convenient” and asserting that “there [is] no Google employee responsible for Google’s QUIC protocol anywhere in the state of Texas.”
