Hi all, We plan to hold a side meeting on problems and solutions on transferring huge amount of data over wide-area network(typically in hundreds of Terabytes or even Petabytes), which we call High-Performance WAN or High effective throughput WAN. Since scientific research and the emerging AI applications have a strong requirement for efficient bulk data transfer over distant large data centers. Transferring these high volume data over premium link will bring too much cost, while traditional approaches require mannual handling by carrying hard disks, which will inevitably incur too much labor cost and lack safety. We want to seek for potential solutions to overcome these issues. Telecom operators and cloud service providers have all realized that these applications have already become mature, like sharing astronomical data and genetic data between third parties. Here is the side meeting information: Time: Tuesday 23 July, 15:30~17:00 (Vancouver) Location: Prince of Wales/Oxford Remote Meeting Link: https://ietf.webex.com/wbxmjs/joinservice/sites/ietf/meeting/download/1388c976b78240dd9e32d026ac210e4f Github link: https://github.com/xiongquan1230/IETF120-Sidemeeting-HP-WAN Welcome to join us. Best regards, Kehan
