Your comments concerning "Distributsions" versus "Distribution" will be
addressed in the next release of the extensions draft.

When RFC 977 was written, the naming nomenclature of the newsgroups was
significantly different that it is now (this was before the "great
renaming"). The intent was to search for articles by name in a particular
distribution. Before the great renaming, the distribution was part of the
name. After the great renaming, the distribution was not necessarily part
of the name.

What is clear is that this part of RFC 977 is in need of clarification by
the effort of the IETF working group.

Thanks for pointing out this need.
