Hi all, I also created an issue for this last week as [#147], but thought that perhaps I should post it to the list as well. Maybe I'm missing something, but I think the current draft doesn't actually request an IANA registry for AEAD algorithms / modes. It has also been said multiple times (e.g. in [1]) that this registry will be SPECIFICATION REQUIRED, but I don't think the document actually says so at the moment. It probably should.
