Dear OPSAWG, The Semantic Metadata Annotation for Network Anomaly Detection document was previously presented at IEPG and NMRG https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/118/materials/slides-118-nmrg-semantic-metadata-annotation-for-network-anomaly-detection-01.pdf https://youtu.be/zC-R_fWUUEA?si=oAvc66agikiZtilf&t=849 and has been updated. We added some more control plane symptoms based on network anomaly detection incident postmortems in the last 3 months and did some minor editorial changes. Here the diff: https://author-tools.ietf.org/diff?url_1=https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-netana-opsawg-nmrg-network-anomaly-semantics-01.txt&url_2=https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-netana-nmop-network-anomaly-semantics-00.txt We are looking forward to feedback and comments. Best wishes Thomas -----Original Message----- From: internet-drafts@ietf.org <internet-drafts@ietf.org> Sent: Sunday, January 21, 2024 7:39 AM To: Alex Feng <alex.huang-feng@insa-lyon.fr>; Alex Huang Feng <alex.huang-feng@insa-lyon.fr>; Antonio Roberto <antonio.roberto@huawei.com>; Graf Thomas, INI-NET-VNC-HCS <Thomas.Graf@swisscom.com>; Vincenzo Riccobene <vincenzo.riccobene@huawei-partners.com>; Du Wanting, INI-NET-VNC-HCS <Wanting.Du@swisscom.com> Subject: New Version Notification for draft-netana-nmop-network-anomaly-semantics-00.txt Be aware: This is an external email. A new version of Internet-Draft draft-netana-nmop-network-anomaly-semantics-00.txt has been successfully submitted by Thomas Graf and posted to the IETF repository. Name: draft-netana-nmop-network-anomaly-semantics Revision: 00 Title: Semantic Metadata Annotation for Network Anomaly Detection Date: 2024-01-21 Group: Individual Submission Pages: 15 URL: https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-netana-nmop-network-anomaly-semantics-00.txt Status: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-netana-nmop-network-anomaly-semantics/ HTMLized: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-netana-nmop-network-anomaly-semantics Abstract: This document explains why and how semantic metadata annotation helps to test, validate and compare outlier detection, supports supervised and semi-supervised machine learning development, enables data exchange among network operators, vendors and academia and make anomalies for humans apprehensible. The proposed semantics uniforms the network anomaly data exchange between and among operators and vendors to improve their network outlier detection systems. The IETF Secretariat
