Hi all,

As suggested by the chairs and Tom, we prepared an individual draft to document the candidate VPN common module rather than including it into the L3NM WG document. Both the rationale and the scope of this common module are described.

Abstract:
This document defines a common YANG module that is meant to be reused
by various VPN-related modules such as Layer 3 VPN Service Model,
Layer 2 VPN Service Model, Layer 3 VPN Network Model, and Layer 2 VPN
   Network Model.

URL: https://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-bgbw-opsawg-vpn-common-00.txt
Status: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-bgbw-opsawg-vpn-common/
Htmlized: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-bgbw-opsawg-vpn-common-00
Htmlized: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-bgbw-opsawg-vpn-common

The L3NM document will be ** on hold ** till we have the outcome of the consensus call about this approach and, if a consensus is reached on the approach, whether we need to pursue this effort as a separate document or to integrate the common module into the L3NM specification.

It would great if the consensus call is issued soon. Thank you.

Nits can be reported using this thread or the updated version available at: https://github.com/boucadair/draft-bgbw-opsawg-vpn-common

Cheers,
Samier, Oscar, Qin & Med
