Mine too.

A very quick note to say thank you very much to the chairs and OpSec
participants.

OpSec has been one of my favorite working groups (and happened to be the
first WG that I chaired), but it is now time to let it gracefully retire...

Some history (some of which is now lost to time…):
Opsec was chartered in 2003, I believe by Ron.

In 2013, Joel Jaeggli took over from Ron Bonica as responsible AD.

Also in 2013 I stepped down as chair, leaving the WG in Gunter Van de Velde
and KK Chittimaneni's very capable hands.

In 2015 KK stepped down, and we added Eric Vyncke as a chair.

In 2017 I replaced Joel as AD.

And in 2018 Gunter stepped down as chair, and Ron returned to Opsec, this
time as chair

In 2019 Eric Vyncke left to serve as an AD, and Jen Linkova kindly stepped
up to serve as chair.


Opsec published 18 RFCs during its time, on a wide range of operational
topics. It was (IMO) an effective and generally very friendly / collegial
working group.

Over the years, the IETF has changed, and we are now better at both
creating short lived working groups, but, more importantly, getting
operational security work done in the WGs which designed the original
protocol work.

So, I'd like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to making and
keeping Opsec such a pleasant and drama-free place to work!

I'll miss it, but it's time for it to close,
