To whom it may concern;

My name is Gardner Foster and I am on the Technical Staff of the
SETA Corporation. I trying to learn more about X.500 services
for a project I will be working on in the future. If you could
send me any introductory information (including the OSI-DS
document) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for
your help.

You may like to try reading my book
"Understanding X.500 The Directory"
pub by Chapman and Hall,
ISBN 0-412-43020-7

although I understand that people have experienced difficulties in purchasing
it in the US. The publishers can be contacted at Ariel Hameon, Chapman and Hall
Inc, One Penn Plaza, 41 Floor, New York NY 10119, tel +1 212 564 1060.
Price is about 45 US dollars I think.

If you have any difficulties I can airmail you a copy
