The obvious answer is UFN (User Friendly Naming) - see RFC1484 and the
draft of its replacement:

	draft-ietf-asid-user-friendly-dir-00.txt (or .ps)

Under this scheme, at most the user would type:

	VTtelnet toto,client site,client,france

The APP=VTtelnet bit is not needed, as the application itself can
supply that to the query engine. For users on the same site as the
service, the command reduces to:

	VTtelnet toto
