The README is appended at the end of this message. The ASN.1 of the 1993 edition OSI Directory is also available on the server. The README is appended to the end of this message. To access the server execute an anonymous FTP to NC-17.MA03.Bull.com with the pasword set to you email address. The PICS are in /pub/OSIdirectory/ 93specification/PICSproforma. The ASN.1 is in /pub/OSIdirectory/93specification/ 93ASN.1. hoyt ________________________________________ 93 PICS Proforma README 2 February 1995 These are draft specifications of the PICS Proforma specifications currently being developed. This information is extracted from huachuca-jitcosi.army.mil (138.27.7.2) which is accessable via anonymous ftp with a password set to your internet mail address. The PICS are found in the /public/x.500/draft/picpro93. The information there may be more up to date. _______________________________________ ASN.1 Modules READ ME 3 February 1995 ISO and ITU have agreed to release copyright on the ASN.1 text in the 1993 edition of ITU-T Recommendation X.500 | ISO/IEC 9594. The files present in this directory are the complete set of ASN.1 modules extracted from the 93 edition of the OSI directory specification. Note that these modules are not identical to the texts sent to ITU for ballot at the beginning of 1994 and distributed among those working in the topic area. Recently available compilers pointed out several minor errors in those older texts. These errors have been corrected in the texts that will be published. The files present in this directory contained the corrected ASN.1 modules. The files named revisedASN.1.sea and revisedASN.1.sea.bin contained a Word version of the aggregate ASN.1 modules formatted as they appear in the annexes of the OSI Directory specification. The files named compilableASN.1.sea, compilableASN.1.sea.bin, and compilableASN.1.z contain a text version of those ASN.1 modules plus ROSE, ACSE, and RTSE modules. Some MHS-Motis definitions that used in the Directory specification are also included. The text file that will be extracted from any of these three compressed files is in a form that should be acceptable to most ASN.1 compilers which support the new ASN.1. ------- End of Forwarded Message
