I have just read the new book on X.500 by Doug Steedman: "X.500: the
directory standard and its application". it is published by technology
apprasals (unfortunately not so easy to find). The book is
ISBN 1 871802 24 5 . TA can be contacted on +44-81-893-3986.

I can strongly recommend this book for anyone wishing to learn about
X.500. Doug writes clearly, and it gives a very useful oveview
of X.500, including the 1992/93 work.
