For the texts on the current standardization of extensions to certificates and certificate revocation lists please anonymous FTP to NC-17.MA02.Bull.com and go to /pub/OSIdirectory/Certificates This directory contains the Technical Corrigendum (TC_for_DR128) that addresses defect report 9594/128. This TC affects implementations conforming to either the first or second editions of X.509 | 9594-8 by defining the facility to support extensibility for both certificates and certificate revocations lists (CRL). Support of this TC is essential to allow the deployment of certificates and CRLs as being defined in the current standardization work (now at the status of Draft Amendment, i.e. one more ballot to go) This TC has been approved by ISO/IEC. However, since this work is collaborative with ITU, this TC must also be approved by ITU. Since that approval is typically a process of affirmation, implementors may confidently implement this TC. The TC is stored here as a Word 6 document (.DOC) and in postscript for A4 (.A4.ps) and US (.US.ps) paper. The PostScript is stored in two formats - a binhexed Stuffit self extracting archive (.sea.hqx) (windows users, please check out the utility in the tools directory here), and as a uuencoded UNIX compressed file (.Z.uu). The Draft Amendment for extensions to certificates is also contained here (CertificatesDAM). This document has be submitted for ballot as a Draft Amendment (the last round). It is stored here as a Word 6 file (.DOC) and in postscript for A4 (.A4.ps) and US (.US.ps) paper. The PostScript is stored in two formats - a binhexed Stuffit self extracting archive (.sea.hqx) (windows users, please check out the utility in the tools directory here), and as a uuencoded UNIX compressed file (.Z.uu). Use binary FTP to transfer the Word 6 files and text FTP for all others. hoyt
