James, As far as we know, QUIPU is not a registered trademark. If you get any replies which indicate otherwise, we would be interested to know. The ISODE Consortium certainly regards QUIPU as an (un-registered) trademark owned by the ISODE Consortium, and we would oppose any registration by another organisation.
