The IESG has received a request from the OSI Directory Services Working
Group to consider the Internet Drafts "Lightweight Directory Access
Protocol" <draft-ietf-osids-lightdirect-02.txt> and "The String
Representation of Standard Attribute Syntaxes"
<draft-ietf-osids-syntaxes-01.txt> as Proposed Standards.
                     
The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action.  Please send any comments to the
iesg@cnri.reston.va.us, or ietf@cnri.reston.va.us mailing lists by
January 12th, 1993.
