First, an OID is an OID, and all are part of the ISO/CCITT OID tree,
so it really does not matter at all.
See (ISO 9834-1|CCITT X.660) if you want some gory details.
You can get an OID from ANSI under { 1 2 840 } for $1000.
Maybe MCC has already done so?
This ANSI OID is a little shorter, for whatever that is worth.
You should not however, renmber anything unless you take away all
instances of the old values, else every implementation that deals with
either the old or the new must always be prepared to deal with either
in all implementations.
Cheers...\Stef
