This is useful for network operator to express policy based on node capabilities/performance/roles (e.g. PE/P/ASBR/BNG, access/aggregation/POP/Core, odd/even.).
In particular I support uses cases 2, 3 and TE/explicit routing policy (a la CSPF excluding "even" or "ASBR" nodes, in particular in the SPRING context).

There are situations where node level policy is required and an OSPF advertised admin tag simplifies this. For example, advertisement of remote-LFA eligibility.
