Time at last for me to say something...

I agree with Peter that we need to get the ISOC to tell us directly
why the IETF should be operated as an ISOC subordinate entity.

The IETF has not bought in yet, and may never until there is some
direct contact and discussion.

One of my great concerns is that the ISOC does not yet show any
visible signs of having significant elections, and I do not see any
ground swell of support for the idea early proposal that ISOC
elections are a major significant issue in all this planning and
proposing.

I think it is time to revisit the legitimacy of the ISOC to ask for
consent from its proposed "to-be-governed-IETF".

Have any plans been made for the ISOC Trustees to participate in the
Thursday Night IETF Plenary? If not, why not?

And, by this I do not mean that they send one person, namely Vint.

We need to see much and many more of them. Arguments to the contrary
only reinforce for me that they are not interested and not therefore
qualified to be our IETF governors.

I think it is nice that the ISOC is organizing conferences and
Newsletters and various Internet Promotional stuff, and fronting for
us with the ITU and ISO and CCITT, but all this has nothing to do with
ISOC fitness to govern the IETF.

I would like to see a significant plurality of he ISOC Board present
themselves at the IETF Plenary, to participate in the discussions and
stand to be questioned.

It is time to lift the veil...\Stef
