Carl,

A couple of clarification questions.

>> 2.5 Selection of names shall be for a specific slot (e.g., "IAB
>> Member" or "the Network Management Area Director of the IESG").

Some areas have 2 Area Directors, others have one. If a "specific slot"
has two area directors, does this imply that there are two open slots?
In other words, is it half the IESG that is open at each selection
period, or the half the areas (with a varying number of people slots)?

>> 3.2 Positions on the IESG or the Chair of the IETF are subject to
>> the advise and consent of the IAB.

Does consent of the IAB include the new IAB members, or those on the
IAB before the selection process began? While retaining the two year
period, is it necessary for both selection processes to be done
simultaneously? Might they overlap some (IAB selection process occuring
3-6 months before the IESG process for example)?
