Dear all,

As the quantum internet will be a heterogeneous network interconnection, different modes of encoding quantum information must be able to be used. Thanks to the researchers at the Kastler Brossel Laboratory which have succeeded in implementing a novel "hybrid" entanglement swapping protocol, bringing within reach the connection of disparate platforms in a future, heterogeneously structured, quantum internet.
