@igorlord : I don't think this is mistrust in the endpoint. Negotiation of this feature means that both endpoints agree to a certain level of privacy from middleboxes, and one might argue that unilateral use means that the end with the weakest level of privacy always wins. As you note, there seems to be clear support to disallow unilateral use.
