The server transport parameters are encrypted, the client parameters are not.  That makes this easy for the server, and much harder for the client.  If you are suggesting that the client can use the server-provided value, that wouldn't work.

I think that we need to discuss expectations about peer-to-peer operation at some point.  I see a lot of requests coming in that don't at all fit with my experience of how peer-to-peer works.
