Sorry, I take it back.  I've just realised that we put that definition
in Appendix C already [1].

Now, the remaining issue is how to move from the "normative intent"
you mention above into "normative" tout-court.

Because, at the moment, no document is taking that responsibility, and
UJCS exists in limbo.

Would it be possible to undo [2] and go back to the state we had in -08?
