[regext] Re: request for wglc

Jim,

I haven't had the opportunity to review -04 and I don't support starting a WGLC yet.  I will do a detailed review of -04 shortly and provide feedback on the mailing list.  I want to ensure that the draft-ietf-regext-rdap-extensions scope is correct, the content matches the scope, and the content doesn't conflict with other drafts, such draft-ietf-regext-rdap-versioning.  I need to look at my prior feedback provided for draft-ietf-regext-rdap-extensions and draft-ietf-regext-rdap-x-media-type have been addressed, since I had recommended taking the query parameter topic from draft-ietf-regext-rdap-x-media-type and moving it to draft-ietf-regext-rdap-extensions for discussion and consensus by the working group.  I question the scope of the extensions draft, since my initial understanding of the goal was to provide clarification and guidance for implementing RDAP extensions, but draft-ietf-regext-rdap-extensions went well beyond that scope to update the base RDAP RFCs.  There has been a lack of discussion on the mailing list related to base RDAP RFC changes to support a WGLC and I don't remember much discussion related to broadening the scope.
