Erik, please file a trac issue for this at the link mentioned on the
xml2rfc.ietf.org page: <http://trac.tools.ietf.org/tools/xml2rfc/trac/>.

Include the attachments you provided here, and please use a subject for
the issue along the lines of "Misformatted reference in HTML output".
