Beside of some potentially emerging interoperability problems which should be fixed, there is a acceptance for the need for support for switched/on-demand media, okay? > IMHO, we also should be exploring ways of making link state protocols > friendlier to WAN enviroments (because I consider them superior to DV > protocols). Sure. But we should not sacrifice the benefits of RIP and create a new high-end protocol. Most (if not all) of these are too complicated and to resource-intensive to be used over circuit-switched media. So I see the draft as a very good step in the right direction. nice weekend, Oliver
