The RIP Version 2 Working Group of the IETF has concluded.  With the
publication of RFC 1387 "RIP Version 2 Protocol Analysis", RFC 1388
"RIP Version 2 Carrying Additional Information" and and RFC 1389 "RIP
Version 2 MIB Extension" the group completed its charter to upgrade RIP
version 2 to carry additional information.

The mailing list <ietf-rip@xylogics.com> will continue to exist as a
forum for implementors.  Should significant revisions to the protocol
be necessary prior to elevation to Draft Standard, this Working Group
may be re-formed.
