This document introduces the FCAST reliable object (e.g., file)
delivery application.  It is designed to operate either on top of the
underlying Asynchronous Layered Coding (ALC) / Layered Coding
Transport (LCT) reliable multicast transport protocol or the
NACK-Oriented Reliable Multicast (NORM) transport protocol.

This document is a product of the Reliable Multicast Transport Working Group of the IETF.


EXPERIMENTAL: This memo defines an Experimental Protocol for the
Internet community.  It does not specify an Internet standard of any
kind. Discussion and suggestions for improvement are requested.
Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
