i agree with curtis that there should be only one means for an
application to tell its communciation requirements to the network and if
ietf has decided that it is int-serv/rsvp so be it.  we should therefore
start thinking very hard, if there is something missing from the current
int-serv/rsvp api that prevents us from being able to utilize atm fabric
in the most desirable way and get int-serv/rsvp fixed before it is too
late.
