Dear all

Going through our last meeting (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UiF5FDAEjA) around 1:50, we discussed the whether the use of RFC 8138 in a P-Dao route is inherited from the use of the main DAG.

One argument is that it should be generalized anyway so do not spend configuration bits on this.
Another that was not discussed is that a P DAO route may span over multiple DAGs. What if they do not agree on use of RFC 8138?

The proposal on the table was:
a) P DAO refers to both daft normatively to indicate that the projected route inherits from the substrate
b) indicate in the P DAO message whether to turn on RFC 8138 on a per route basis

What's best?

Pascal
