Yes, using a good threaded reader is a good idea.
The IETF lists are also http://news.gmane.org/gmane.network.protocols.rpl
and you can access it via nntp://news.gmane.org/gmane.network.protocols.rpl
with a usenet newsreader.

I think that we will do this.
Once a new draft is complete, I will remind the list with a link to the
datatracker ID diff tool.

You aren't the only one who wants to read all the changes again.
