Title: RPL DIS Modifications and Applications
Reviewer: Russ Housley
Review result: Has Issues

I reviewed this document as part of the Security Directorate's ongoing
effort to review all IETF documents being processed by the IESG. These
comments were written primarily for the benefit of the Security Area
Directors. Document authors, document editors, and WG chairs should
treat these comments just like any other IETF Last Call comments.

Summary: Has Issues

Major Concerns:

This document should be an update to RFC 6550 (if approved).

How does this update to RFC 6550 impact security? It seems that Section 10
of RFC 6550 talks about the DIO object, so there should be something to say.

Minor Concerns:

The Abstract must not include references to other documents. Please
replace [RFC6550] with a textual reference to the RPL specification.

Nits:

Section 1.1: s/the soliciting node is interested in./
/of interest to the soliciting node./

Section 1.1: Table 1 has odd formatting with extra whitespace.

Section 3: s/flag is reset/flag is unset/

Section 5: Table 2 has odd formatting with extra whitespace.

Section 5: s/explicitely/explicitly/

Section 6:s/thatof/that of/

Section 6.1: s/specification are/specification are:/
