Hi Maarten,

my contribution to this dicusssion mirrors what Robert and I did in=20
JSContact to solve the same problem:

1) Prefer maps to arrays for representing collections, and limit the use=20
of arrays to cases where order is important or the elements of the=20
collection are not objects (typically strings).

2) Patch the entire array rather than single elements.
