And Matthew we haven't argued against attempting to fix the big issue
you see with it, namely that it requires a lower layer to separate RTP
sessions. We just don't see it happing quickly or in the way you
proposed. But I think we are going to very seriously consider attempting
to do something about the short coming in AVTCORE.

I don't think we have an realistic alternative of doing something new. I
would love to develop a new real-time media transport protocol. I just
think that it will take 3 years before we are close to having something
published. I also fear that it might suffer from second system syndrome
and be hellishly complex.

I also don't think it helps the people that want to gateway to their
legacy systems.

Do you have any other well defined media transport alternative for us to
use?
