And equally well known that the vast majority of such companies which made
such self-interested mistakes are hemorrhaging their market share like a
stuck pig :)  Not to mention losing their most talented developers to more
enlightened platforms that are "on fire" in a far more positive sense!

It shouldn't take more than a few minutes in google and maybe a couple of
interested email requests to show just how badly outdated this view is.
There are hundreds of potential suppliers and very few of them will turn
away an expression of interest from even very low volume purchasers.

Who would have thought there'd be people who actually want to sell the
things they make.  And who'll sell them direct to anyone on the internet
who sends them a PO.
