For example, G.722 would be desirable for some interoperation scenarios, 
even though it's worse than Opus at similar bitrates. (And it's no 
longer under patent)

Just to note: G.729's license requirements make supporting it a virtual 
impossibility for Mozilla, and unlikely for the other browsers.
