It seems we already live in the future: Currently HD voice with AMR-WB is launched in more than 50 mobile networks all over the world (more than 35 countries) with more than 130 WB-AMR enabled mobile devices

Probably at present time a little bit more AMR-WB codecs deployed than OPUS codecs.
