This version tries to address comments made.  The most extensive change is the schemas, which are now full json schemas and pass validation, as well as a check to make sure the examples validate to the schemas.

I haven’t done anything about the config file password issue yet, and there are at least 2 or 3 other dangling items.  I’ll start separate threads on those.
