After seeing some repeated requests on the SCIM mailing list, I have posted an Individual Draft proposal to support paging and filtering of multi-valued attributes. This extension should be of particular interest to developers who want to build user interfaces that can page through groups with very large membership counts.

The spec makes use of existing value filter qualifiers and paging parameters enabling them to be used against attributes specified with the “attributes” parameter of a SCIM query or resource retrieval request.

Comments and participation welcome.

Note: the SCIM WG is not currently chartered. Based on the level of interest we will have to discuss if and how best to proceed.
