Dear SDN Researchers,

The IRTF SDN Research Group will close and we will not be requesting a meeting slot at IETF 98.

Since the group formed in 2011 we have seen exciting and interesting research topics relevant to SDN. More recently, it has become difficult to maintain the quality of discussion on SDN research topics, and effectively utilise the mailing list and our allocated IETF meeting time.

We have one active RG topic:

Cooperating Layered Architecture for SDN
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-irtf-sdnrg-layered-sdn/

If the authors would like to continue the work a few options are available, please contact us directly and we can review/progress them offline.

Thank you for your past SDN RG participation and all the best for your future SDN and related research.

Kind Regards,
Dan, Kohei and Will.
