Greetings again. This document is an informational overview of how multicast addresses are allocated and assigned. It does not recommend particular allocation and/or assignment strategies; it just lists the many strategies that exist. As such, it has no particular security considerations other than possible DoS attacks on some allocation methods, and the Security Considerations section says so.
