Hi,

I am new to this list, so please accept my apology if this has been already discussed. As far as I know smart grid has many components. One is as you have discussed the smart meters and actuators for users. However, an equally important part of smart-grid is the substation monitoring and automatic control. There are specific requirements in that area such as fast fail-over, zero-packet loss, security, outdoor fanless operation, Electromagnetic interference, remote access, remote monitoring and fast remote action trigger, etc.

I just want to understand are these in scope of this group and whether it has been discussed?

Thanks,
Shahram
