Hi All,

With draft-ietf-sfc-multi-layer-oam-28 about to move into the RFC editor queue, as communicated a while back, this brings closure to the SFC working group.

I will be discussing an AD sponsorship of  sfc-nsh-ecn-support draft with the authors so that this document can still progress post-closure.

While there will be a closure email sent, I wish to explicitly thank the SFC chairs for all the work they have done over the lifespan of the working group, and congratulate all involved for the RFC’s that have been published over the lifespan of the working group.

The working group has been active for 10 years and has produced 9 RFC’s (which will rise to 12 once the RFC editor queue clears), and potentially 13 if we include the sfc-nsh-ecn-support document.

In the review of the SFC documents that I have handled in my role as AD, I have found the quality of the documents to be of a consistently high standard and the efforts of the working group have been appreciated.

I will be leaving the working group mailing list open should there be any follow-up required and for history/archival purposes.

Once again, my thanks to all the participants and the chairs.

Official closure will occur as soon as the multi-layer oam document moves into the editor queue.
